Aaron Lockwood – Theta Chi’s Very Own Iron Chef
| Some people are born with the
love to cook. It could be appropriate to say that Aaron Lockwood is one of
these people. There has been something about cooking that Aaron has always
loved. He said in an interview that “He loves the challenge and the rush of
it” and that is what has drawn him to cook. His passion for food started at
age 16, but there is more to him than just cooking. Aaron Lockwood grew up in our very own West Fargo and graduated from High School in 1997. He held a few odd jobs at first, including one data entry job that did not last long he said…he did not want to stray very far from cooking. After a while, he enrolled and attended a Moorehead technical college and pursued a two year degree in Culinary Arts. Aaron also currently works at the Fargo Country Club and has now been cooking for a solid fourteen years. Like most people, Aaron has a few preferred tastes. He enjoys cooking Mexican style foods such as tacos, burritos, enchiladas and other variations of that genre. He enjoys this style of cooking because he says that “It fits his tastes”. Although he makes amazing cookies and brownies for the house, he is not particularly fond of cooking desserts. |
Outside the world of food, he has many favorite hobbies and past times. During his days off in the nice warm summer weather, he enjoys going to the lake with his friends to barbecue and go out on the boat. He also has an appreciation for lounging around after a long days work and going to the bar to tip back a couple of cold brews. Currently he is trying to pick up another hobby, since he works for the Fargo Country Club, he figures he might as well give golf a try. Some of his favorite movies and shows include The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction, and other Quentin Tarantino films.
Aaron enjoys working for Theta Chi because his work is always appreciated by the guys at the house, and he enjoys cooking more home style foods for us than gourmet at the Fargo Country Club. He truly enjoys his job as a chef because cooking is his passion.
