We want you to join
Theta Chi Fraternity
We at Theta
Chi Fraternity hope you start thinking about
Greek life at NDSU. The Greek System at NDSU is made
up of ten fraternities and four sororities. Being
a member of a fraternity affords a student many opportunities
not given to most college students, both socially and academically.
Theta
Chi: Theta
Chi is a social Fraternity, which means that we do not require
members to be of a specific field of study. However,
engineering, accountancy, and business seem to be the dominant
majors among Theta Chi members. Currently, Theta Chi
boasts one of the highest collective GPA of the NDSU fraternities.
We are also the largest fraternity on campus. Our
house is located at 1307 N. University Drive, directly across
the street from the NDSU campus.
How
do I join Theta Chi Fraternity?
Joining Theta Chi is simple. Rush week is a time for
NDSU students to learn more about the fraternities.
After rush week, a pledging process begins, during which
an interested student learns more about the fraternity.
The final step is initiation, the process by which a person
is officially inducted into the fraternity. Hazing
is strictly forbidden by the Theta Chi National Office and
is NOT a part of our initiation process.
What
does it mean to be a Theta Chi member?
As a member, you’ll be a part of almost 150 years of tradition.
You’ll be given the opportunity to live in the Theta Chi
Chapter House if you so choose. You’ll be able to
participate in the countless social functions and philanthropy
events that Theta Chi organizes, often in cooperation with
sororities. You’ll make life-long friends and meet
Theta Chi alumni, who are often an excellent resource for
employment following your college years. Theta Chi
enriches the college experience. While it is not required
for a member to live in the Theta Chi house, it is encouraged
because it is less expensive than living in the dorms and
more convenient than living in an apartment.
